Of wine, the rivers of history and the people...

Take a "wine discovery tour" along the Rhine and Moselle rivers as well as through the Palatinate, the German Tuscany. In Trier, Koblenz, Mainz and Neustadt the vineyards reach all the way down into the towns.

Itinerary

In Trier, you can enjoy a four-course menu or alternatively a Roman meal accompanied by appropriate wines. A guided walk gives you insight into the history of the town, while a vineyard wine tasting introduces you to the secrets of viticulture.

Koblenz offers you wine, a legacy from the Roman era, when you visit Koblenz winemakers and go on a guided tour through the vineyards. Enjoy tasting the Riesling wine typical for the region. Join one of our tour guides and explore the narrow winding alleys of the old part of the city, experiencing the special flair of places steeped in history.

The city of Mainz is synonymous with wine. At the traditional wine merchant Weinhaus Horn you can expand your knowledge of Moselle wines with wines from the Rhine Valley and the Rheingau. Can you taste the difference? A guided walk shows you around the birthplace of Johannes Gutenberg, while your Mainz Card allows you to take advantage of a wide range of benefits.

Neustadt an der Weinstraße: The name says it all! Located on the German Wine Route and a central starting point in the second-largest wine-growing region in Germany, Neustadt has the right wine for any taste. Neustadt is Germany‘s secret wine capital, where wine festivals are celebrated from spring to autumn.
